solve linear equations

Hi! Our class just started tackling a new chapter in math regarding solve linear equations and I did pretty well for most assignments we got but the latest one my teacher gave hard so I'd love if somebody would teach me to understand it! It’s a problem solving assignment my algebra professor gave out this day and it’s due next week and I tried doing it but still can’t get it right. I can’t finish it with ease unlike the other assignments. I had an easy time solving my past assignments but this particular assignment with specific topic of fractional exponents gives me a hard time just discovering how to start . I’m desperately in need of help. I’ll really be grateful if somebody help me in discussing the steps and how to solve it in a systematic and clear way.
