quadratic formula applet is my biggest problem. Can any one assist me understand it? I am a novice at it. What book or other resource do you suggest for beginning this subject?

I have a good recommendation that could help you with algebra. You simply need a good software to explain the problems that are complicated. You don't need a tutor , because firstly it's very expensive , and on the other hand you won't have it near you whenever you need help. A software is better because you only have to buy it once, and it's yours forever . I recommend you to take a look at Algebrator, because it's the best. Since it can solve almost any math exercises, you will probably use it for a very long time, just like I did. I purchased it a long time ago when I was in Basic Math, but I still use it quite often.

Even I got help from Algebrator to learn the basic principles of Pre Algebra a year back. It is worth investing in the purchase of Algebrator since it offers qualitytutoring in Basic Math and is available at an affordable rate.

Thank you, I will try the suggested software. I have never tried any software before , I didn't even know that they exist. But it sure sounds amazing ! Where did you find the software ? I want to get it as soon as possible , so I have time to study for the exam.
